Dad has a condo that he and my Mom lived in together before she passed away and he moved in with me. We decided not to sell it, since the market was bad and decided to remodel the whole place and rent it out. It is close to Wake Forest University, so we have had a couple of professors from there rent the home over the past few years. The latest couple to move in are a lovely Japanese Literature professor and wife and kids. We hit it off the first time we met, and they invited us to dinner after they got settled. Dad and I went over and had a fun time getting to know them, and we had a terrific time. On the way home in the car, Dad said, "They are really such a nice couple. They certainly made me feel right at home." Well I suppose so! |
