Dad, David and I are having our summer family vacation coming up. We are going to Washington, DC where my Dad was born and my Grandparents met. My Grandpa was a professor at Catholic, American and Howard Universities back in the 1920s. We'll get to see where my Dad lived as a baby and hopefully get a lot of videotape of his family stories. Then we are heading down to Colonial Williamsburg for a few days, as I thought it would be fun to do all the tourist attractions with Dad. "Have you ever been to Williamsburg?" I asked Dad last night. "Not since I was in the war." He replied with a smirk. Dad's corny jokes never get "old" with me! |
