Dad and I went out to a new restaurant for dinner.  I rarely try new places since Dad really just likes grilled chicken and hamburgers, but I decided to take a chance.

So we looked at the menu and it was a lot of fancy dishes, but I finally spotted the hamburger hidden between the scallops with bacon, and shrimp spring rolls.

Then Dad saw that the hamburger was $8.99 and refused to order one, citing the "outrageous price".

He said he would just eat a peanut butter sandwich when we got home.

I whispered to the waitress to bring him the burger anyway.

Once he got it, he said that it was the best burger he could remember (true) and I just decided to not show him the bill at the end of the meal.

I suppose the best burger Dad has eaten in 82 years must be worth $8.99, but he'll never know!
