Dad is still in the hospital (ugh) but is supposed to be released today. Yesterday, they were putting some compression stockings on his legs to help the swelling he gets from his congestive heart failure. He has been wondering all week why he is wearing a dress (hospital gown), and when the nurses put the stockings on Dad said, "Since now I have the dress and the pantyhose, why don't you just put a bow in my hair and call me Susie!" Everyone in the room just roared with laughter. Now his nickname with the nurses is "Susie Sunshine." Thank goodness we are coming home today! |
