New Lease on Life - Literally Print
Friday, 20 August 2010
I'm sorry to have gone a week without blogging, but Dad has been in the hospital since Sunday.  He had a small heart attack (he's fine) and they changed out his implanted pacemaker/defibrillator today.

The one he had inserted  today is a newer, sleeker and longer lasting version.  It should last at least another five years.

Dad was confused and a bit nervous moments before the procedure, so I tried to keep things up-beat.

"Your lease is running out.  If you want to stay around five more years, we have to do this short procedure."

"I think I will re-new." He said.  "If the next 5 years are as good as the last five, I may get another one put in when I am 87."

Let's hope so!

Stay tuned for hospital stories.  We'll be home tomorrow, and I have LOTS!
